Write normal prose as a paragraph. A single newline inside a paragraph is treated as normal wrapping, so use a blank line when you want a new paragraph.

Use standard Markdown formatting:

• italic
• link text
• inline code

Blockquotes begin with a greater-than sign.

Use a trailing backslash when a poetic line needs an explicit break:
the next source line will appear directly below it.

A blank line starts a new stanza.
